Busy Breathers is an oxygen cylinder carrier bag invented by Michelle Staley, whose son Ty was born prematurely at 27 weeks. Her need to carry around an oxygen cylinder along with all other necessities of a newborn Busy Breather backpacks are designed to be carried by parents of young children, children themselves, or adults on oxygen.
This mom invented backpack features a small pack with a sleeve for an oxygen tank, a special mount to hold the oxygen cylinder in place, plus plenty of pockets for other necessities. With its two shoulder straps and fabricated from nonflammable material, it looks like a day pack and frees the hands for other tasks.
Although the original backpack was designed for children, they are also used by adults who need oxygen full time and don’t want to compromise on mobility.
Busy Breathers is also a recipient of the competitive Huggies Mom Inspired Grant.
